Du Plessis made his Test debut in 2012 and was the fourth South African player to score a Test century on his debut. Afterward, he was also chosen to become the captain of the South African T20 team and became a full-time captain in early 2013.

David Warner was born on 27 October 1986 and is a left-handed opening batsman. Warner plays for New South Wales and Sydney Thunder in domestic cricket and played in more than 100 One Day Internationals.

 

 

He set a record in the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash by completing his half-century in 18 balls against Tasmania. During his first season with the Sydney Thunder, he was also captain of the team and scored 102 not out off just 51 balls. Additionally, he is also one of the best batsmen in the Indian Premier League of all time. While playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad he set records for the most runs by an overseas player, most half-centuries, and the highest individual score by a captain.

Kane Williamson is the second batsman from New Zealand on our list. He was born on August 8th, 1990 and was the T20 Player of the Year in the 2014-15 season. During the T20 World Cup 2016 in India, he was named captain of the “Team of the Tournament” and was also New Zealand’s player of the year.

 

 

Williamson scored a century against all other Test-playing nations and was also awarded numerous awards throughout his career. Even though New Zealand lost in the final of the World Cup 2019, he was named Player of the Tournament after he became the highest scoring captain in a single World Cup.

8. Joe Root

Joe Root is England’s current Test captain and was born 30 December 1990. He is currently ranked eighth in the ODI and Test rankings and he was also part of the English cricket team that won the 2019 World Cup. Root made his Twenty20 debut in the two-match series against India.

 

 

During the World Cup 2015, he became England’s youngest player to score a century at a World Cup, but England eventually came up short in that tournament. However, in 2019 he was named in the “Team of the Tournament” of the World Cup and finished as the fifth-highest run-scorer of the competition.

9. Quinton de Kock

Quinton de Kock represents South Africa in International matches and was born on 17 December 1992. He played in the Indian Premier League for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians. De Kock made his international debut against New Zealand during the 2012/13 season.

 

 

Soon after representing South Africa at the T20 level, he also played his first Test match in February 2014. Quinton scored seven runs in the first innings and he also became the fastest player to reach 10 ODI centuries.

Finch made his T20 debut for Australia against England in 2011. Only two years later, he set a new record by scoring 156 runs off balls against England at the Rose Bowl.
