Bae Seong-ung or “Bengi”, in short, is one of the most successful League of Legends players in the world. Along with his teammate Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, “Bengi” is the key to the success of team SK Telecom T1. This duo is considered as the best in the world because of the three League of Legends World Championships, won in 2013, 2015, and 2016, with SK Telecom T1 K and SK Telecom T1, respectively.

“Bengi” eSports Career

“Bengi” first appeared in the pro scene playing a few games for the team BBT team in the Gold League. However on February 28, 2013, kkOma added him to the initial SK Telecom T1 2 roster as the jungler. The team immediately qualified for the OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013 and had a surprising performance by taking 3rd place, beating CJ Frost in a clean sweep but losing 3-1 to MVP Ozone. After the tournament, their sister team, SK Telecom T1 1, disbanded and T1 2 was renamed simply to SK Telecom T1.

The following years were outstanding for the Korean. He won almost everything in the world of League of Legends. Of course, the biggest success was the titles from 2013, 2015 and 2016. With them, the SK Telecom T1 team become the first ever with that amount of titles.
