Founded back in 2003, Virtus.Pro is one of the most successful European teams in the world. Owned by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, the Polish organization based in Russia has teams competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DotA 2, World of Tanks, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes Of The Storm, and they’ve just announced the addition of League of Legends with an all new roster. The team received a $100,000,000 investment from Usmanov in November, 2015.

Counter-Strike:GO

Virtus.Pro is in the top 3 teams in the most popular first-person shooter game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Logically, the team enters almost all of the events as a favorite for the final winner. An interesting fact is that the roster of the CS:GO squad is the same since its foundation, back in 2014.

DotA 2

The year was difficult for the DotA 2 division of the Polish organization. On May 30th, 2016, the team was disqualified from the The Summit 5 Qualifiers Finals vs Ad Finem after accusations that they had substituted Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko for Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobkin, using ALOHADANCE‘s account to hide the action. A month later, the organization dropped the entire DotA 2 squad after poor results and 6th place at the International Qualifiers. However in August, Virtus.Pro announced their new roster consisting Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, No[o]ne, pashaBiceps, Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk, and Alexei “Solo” Berezin as a team captain.

League of Legends

After a lengthy hiatus, Virtus.Pro has signed a new team to compete in League of Legends. Daniel “Blasting” Kudrin, Ivan “Paranoia” Tipukhov, and Alexander “SaNTaS” Lifashin make up the bulk of the team with Rafael “Doxy” Adl Zarabi and Jonatan “SezzeR” Villebro listed as stand ins. The team will face its first professional competitions in Moscow and Saint Petersburg for the LCL Open Cup, November 20th-27th, 2016.

Since its foundation back in 2003, the Polish multi-gaming company has become one of the most successful in the world. Over the years, the organization has been represented by more than 50 players who have won over 100 gold, 170 silver and 220 bronze medals in more than 10 eSports disciplines. Nowadays, the teams competing under the flag of Virtus.Pro continue to write the glorious history of the Polish organization.

At the end of 2019, Virtus.Pro released its older CS:GO roster and acquired the former Kinguin team, which is now competing under the flag of Virtus.Pro. This young squad will try to bring the old fame to the Polish organization!
