Best Cricket Allrounders in the World

Richie Benaud

Richie Benaud is the second Australian all-round on our list. He was born on October 6th 1930 and made his Test debut against West Indies in 1952. The Australian team was struggling before he became part of it, but after he joined the squad, they quickly established themselves in the top of world cricket. Benaud became the team’s captain in 1958 and was the first player to reach 2,000 wickets and 2,000 runs in Test cricket.

Tony Greig

Tony Greig is an English all-rounder in our ranking. He was born on October 6th, 1946 in South Africa and was eligible to play for the English team due to his Scottish heritage. He also captained the English Test team for several years and made his Test debut on June 8th, 1972.

 

 

After he has retired from professional cricket, he became a commentator and moved to Australia. Greig played for the English cricket team in the first World Cup in England in 1975 and made it to the semi-final where the team was eliminated from the tournament by Australia.

Andrew Flintoff

Andrew Flintoff was an integral part of the English cricket team for several years. He was a right-handed all-rounder and was rated one of the best allrounders by the ICC throughout his career. Flintoff made his Test debut for England against South Africa in 1998 and played his last Test match in 2009 against Australia.

 

 

Flintoff is considered to be one of the best allrounders in both One Day International and Test cricket. He also served as both captain and vice-captain of the team.
