This season, he prefers playing strong meta champions such as Cho Gath, Maokai, and Shen, depending on the team strategy. In this 2017 World Championship, he is owning a perfect record for his matches using Shen, Galio, Nautilus, Gnar, and Renekton. Fans of League of Legends know the importance of the top-laner and that is why sOAZ’s role in Fnatic is so crucial for the team tactics and composition. We should mention that 2016 was not so great for the player, since he, along with his team Origen didn’t rank well at the LCS Championship. Due to this fact, sOAZ ended the year with only $4,466.67. AAA became known as a strong European contender in the new MOBA’s growing competitive scene back in the day. They participated in some of the biggest events such as IEM Season 5, where they won 2nd place. After that, the team took part in the biggest LoL event – the Riot Season 1 Championship, which nowadays is known as the LCS Worlds Finals. After some incredible battles, sOAZ and company managed to win a silver medal, defeating Team SoloMid. In the pre-season, sOAZ along his teammates left AAA to join another French organization – Millenium. With this team, he participated in several tournaments and events. After the end of the trial, he went back to playing for the reformed AAA line up. After attending several tournaments, such as the major IEM Season 6 World Championship, the line up decided to disband in season 2 and leave the organization for the second time. Luckily as a proven top-laner, sOAZ was wanted by plenty of different eSports companies. He transferred to the Swedish giant Fnatic and started to play for the team in Season 2. In the biggest tournament of the year, Fnatic was unable to achieve top 3, and ended up in 4th place after losing to Moscow Five and CLG Europe. With the North American and European community extremely excited for the amped-up events of LCS, Season 3 began with Riot’s new league of a 10 week series with the continent’s best teams playing against another. Fnatic became the most consistently powerful team throughout the series, with sOAZ playing a pivotal role. sOAZ was an overwhelming top-laner and the team ended the 10 weeks in first with an intimidating record of 22-6. sOAZ and his comrades had automatically reclaimed their spot in the league for the Summer Split entering the Season 3 EU Spring Playoffs. Being a favorite in the playoffs, the team showed their consistently strong playstyle, winning 2-1 vs Evil Geniuses and placing themselves in the finals against another favorite, Gambit Gaming. In a close set of games, Fnatic was able to beat the Russians, winning 3-2 and the $50,000 1st prize. sOAZ qualified to the Season 3 World Championship with his team Fnatic, finishing 1st in the Summer Playoffs. In March 2013, sOAZ participated in a 1 v 1 best-of-five matchup against Mike ‘Wickd’ Petersen to claim the top-lane spot for the Europe LCS All Star team. This became an amazing spectacle, achieving a record number of over 130,000 concurrent viewers on a personal stream vs TwitchTV. sOAZ won the matchup 3-2, playing the game-winning match by cheesing Wickd with Nunu. He was then publicly voted to represent the Europe LCS as their top-lane, coming together with other voted players to play in All-Star Shanghai 2013. The tournament was the most talked about event of the year in the scene, being held in China in May. The EU LCS first faced off against heavy favorites Korean OGN Champions, and although good early gameplay occurred from the Europeans, the Korean team overtook them in a 2-0 set. Their next opponent was their sibling league, the North America LCS. Both teams played an explosive two games of up and down fighting, however, NA LCS ended up being the victor, knocking the EU LCS out of the tournament. sOAZ did win the All Star Skills Competition for the top-lane, beating world-class players Liu “PDD” Mou and Park “Shy” Sang-myeon. He returned to Fnatic with his experiences of playing against the world’s best. Season 4 At the start of Season 4, Fnatic attended the IEM Season 8 World Championship and placed 2nd at the event, only behind KT Rolster Bullets. During the 2014 EU LCS Spring Split, Fnatic played well and finished 2nd behind SK Gaming in the regular season. The team stepped up in the playoffs and defeated Alliance in the semifinals as well as SK Gaming in the finals to win their 3rd LCS Split. With their 1st place finish in the playoffs, they qualified for All-Star Paris 2014. The Fnatic squad finished 3rd/4th at the event after getting knocked out by SK Telecom T1 in the semifinals. Their Summer Split was worse and they struggled to even place in the top 2. Despite a shaky regular season, Fnatic still managed to take out Team ROCCAT in the semifinals but fell to Alliance in the finals, losing their first LCS final. Despite their loss vs Alliance, the team still qualified for the 2014 World Championship, being drawn in Group C along with OMG, LMQ, and Samsung Galaxy Blue. Despite a decent start with a loss vs LMQ and a win over group favorites Samsung Blue, Fnatic lost a really close game against OMG and didn’t improve their record enough in their remaining games to get past groups. Season 5 In January, sOAZ left Fnatic and joined his old teammate Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martínez’s new team, Origen. The team defeated Millenium in the 2015 EU CS Spring Qualifier. They managed to perform extremely well in the 2015 EU CS Spring Split, finishing with a 9-1 record. In the 2015 EU CS Spring Playoffs, Origen finished in 1st place after defeating Reason Gaming in the semifinals and Copenhagen Wolves Academy in the finals. This qualified Origen for the 2015 EU LCS Summer Split. During the Summer Split, Origen was fighting with H2k-Gaming for the 2nd place spot. Fnatic went on to finish undefeated in the regular season with an 18-0 record, making it impossible for Origen to finish 1st. This, however, didn’t stop the squad from finishing 2nd in their first ever LCS split as a team. Their success continued in the 2015 EU LCS Summer Playoffs where they defeated H2k 3-1 in the semifinals. The team fell 2-3 to Fnatic in the finals but managed to hand them their only two losses of the Summer Split. Despite their impressive first split, the team didn’t earn enough Championship Points and had to play in the 2015 EU LCS Regional Qualifier, where they defeated Team ROCCAT in the 2nd round and Unicorns of Love in the third round. This qualified Origen for the 2015 World Championship as Europe’s 3rd seed. At Worlds, Origen was drawn into Group D along with KT Rolster, LGD Gaming, and Team SoloMid. They finished the group with a 4-2 record, only dropping games to LGD and KT. Despite knocking out the Flash Wolves 3-1 in the quarterfinals, Origen was defeated by SK Telecom T1 in the semifinals with a 3-0 sweep. Season 6 Prior to the start of the 2016 Season, there were rumors of xPeke retiring. They were later proven wrong as Origen announced a 6 man roster with the addition of Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage to their roster. The team’s debut with PowerOfEvil in the mid-lane was at IEM Season X/San Jose. The team went on to defeat Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming to win the event. This was the first international tournament that Origen won. The team returned to Europe for the 2016 EU LCS Spring Split and despite critics and analysts having high expectations for them, they finished in 4th place with an 11-7 record. In Summer, sOAZ and his team finished in 9th place in the regular season, with a 2-8 standing. They had to play in the Promotion Tournament to secure their spot for the 2017 season, which they won against Misfits (3-2). However, in the off season, Origen announced the depature of sOAZ and Maurice “Amazingx” Stückenschneider from the team. On December 1st, it was announced that sOAZ would re-join Fnatic, along with former Origen teammate Amazing, and they will be playing in the 2017 Spring Season alongside Rasmus “Caps” Winther, Jesse “Jesiz” Le, and Martin “Rekkles” Larsson.
